Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join a manufacturing facility in Lancaster, PA. This is a full-time, first-shift role offering a compensation range of $30 to $35 per hour, based on your professional background. You will be responsible for the installation, upkeep, diagnostics, and enhancement of electrical infrastructure and production machinery within a dynamic manufacturing setting. Candidates with a background in high-volume production sectors—such as food and beverage, plastics, pharmaceuticals, or packaging—are strongly encouraged to apply.

Primary Duties

• Set up and adjust power distribution networks for industrial use.
• Mount transformers, switchgear, disconnects, distribution panels, and MCCs.
• Ensure new production machinery is properly supplied by running branch circuits and feeders.
• Help ensure system reliability by verifying load capacity, phase rotation, and voltage levels.
• Complete the connection and commissioning of production-line machinery.
• Manage the relocation and reconnection of existing manufacturing assets.
• Install electrical enclosures, VFDs, motors, and control panels.
• Execute the termination and routing of power and control cabling.
• Improve overall equipment effectiveness by troubleshooting electrical and control system faults to reduce downtime.

Automation & Controls

• Integrate and install automation systems and PLC-driven machinery.
• Connect field devices including photo eyes, limit switches, and various sensors.
• Confirm signal integrity and system communication.
• Validate that equipment is operating correctly through rigorous testing.

Safety & Compliance

• Conduct system verification and electrical testing procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to OSHA, NEC, GMP, and LOTO standards.
• Support continuous production by performing necessary preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team.

Essential Qualifications

• At least six years of professional experience in an industrial or manufacturing electrical role.
• Proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Preference given to those holding a Master or Journeyman Electrician license.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Requirement to supply your own basic electrical and hand tools.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is mandatory.
• Must hold legal authorization to work within the U.S.
