Job description

Jacksonville-based, employee-owned company is seeking an experienced Electrician/Installer to join our growing team. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Industrial electrical experience is required. This position requires travel approximately 15% of the time to support project and client site requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and lead industrial electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
• Plan and coordinate daily work for small crews of technicians and helpers.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractor superintendents, foremen, customers, and other trades.
• Install EMT, GRC, PVC-coated RMC, and stainless-steel RMC using hand, mechanical, and hydraulic benders.
• Troubleshoot motor controls and complex electrical systems in demanding industrial environments.
• Safely operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, telescopic forklifts, and other jobsite equipment as qualified.
• Plan for labor, materials, tools, and equipment to support project schedules.
• Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, and test equipment in clean, safe, working conditions.
• Complete required field documentation and communicate project status, constraints, and safety concerns promptly.
• Emergency response may be required during or after hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages 0-5 Technicians and Helpers, depending on project needs. Is responsible for the overall direction and coordination. Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

OSHA 10 or 30

Active journeyman electrician license

National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies

Other Qualifications

• Must have a current driver’s license and a driving record that meets company minimum requirements.
• Must be able to travel.
• Must pass background check.
• Experience using Procore a plus.
• Experience with Fire Alarm a plus.
• Experience using a megohmmeter, ground resistance tester, thermal imaging camera, or OTDR.

Structured cabling, fiber-optic cabling, and termination experience.
