Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an Industrial Electrician for our Dierks, AR Lumber facility. You will perform electrical maintenance, install and troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and instrumentation while adhering to NFPA70E safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for five years of electrical maintenance experience and knowledge of electrical codes. Expect evening/overnight shifts with weekend/holiday pay premiums; drug screen and background checks are part of hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks and install/repair electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Install motors, starters, VFDs and PLCs per electrical codes.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and hardware/software in plant systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on motors, drives and control systems.
• Follow lockout/tagout safety procedures and maintain clean work environment.

DescriptionWeyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for Industrial Electricians for our Dierks, AR Lumber facility. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. The entry level starting rate of pay starts at a minimum of $23.31 depending on experience. This vacancy will be assigned evening/overnight hours with a weekend & overnight pay premium.Key FunctionsPerforms highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks including installation and repair of electrical machinery and instrumentation of controls throughout the plant while maintaining NFPA70E electrical safety standards.Installation of electrical equipment, motors, starters, variable frequency drives and PLCs in accordance with applicable electrical codes.Repair of electrical tools and equipment including power tools and test equipment.Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting on AC and DC motors, drives, and control systems.PM as required on other electro-mechanical components (brakes, clutches, solenoids, etc.).Calibrate instruments, sensors, chart recorders, etc.Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software associated with all distributed discrete microprocessor-based systems within the plant.Follow and adhere to safety lockout procedures and strictly adhere to plant safety rules as well as follow excellent housekeeping practices to help maintain a clean work environment.QualificationsAll applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.Prefer five (5) years of electrical maintenance work experience and/or educational history.Full knowledge of electrical codes.Prefer knowledge of SAP maintenance systems.Must be proficient in the programming, installation, and troubleshooting of all PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).Experienced in all phases of plant electrical equipment repair.Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives, 3-Phase 480 Volt AC motors and starters, 24 Volt DC and 120 Volt AC control circuits.Knowledge of closed loop process control systems.Must have Microsoft Office skills.Résumé detailing education and work history.Steady, documented work history.Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.Good communication skills.Must be team oriented.Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.Physical ability to work in extreme heat and cold.Physical ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills.Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen, physical and background check to be eligible for hire.About WeyerhaeuserWe sustainably manage forests and manufacture products that make the world a better place.
