Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our team in De Pere, WI. You will perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic tasks, follow ISO/GMP standards, read schematics, and support continuous improvement on packaging lines. Experience with PLCs and drive systems preferred; day shift schedule Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Product or industry specific machine experience.
• Basic Mechanical Skills
• High School Level Mathematics
• Experience with PLC’s and drives troubleshooting as well as hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical skills.
• Completed an Electromechanical Apprenticeship Program in a manufacturing environment.
• 7-years’ experience and/or training in a manufacturing facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced skills (Journeyman level) required in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems and PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality requirements to meet or exceed specifications.
• Effectively communicate with employees from your own and other departments to ensure a team environment.
• Understand and apply knowledge of electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics.
• Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO, GMPs.
• Read technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Document technical information through writing, sketches/diagrams, and graphs.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and fluid measurements with proper tools.
• Assemble/disassemble, repair, or calibrate components following procedures.
• Understand operation and control of machines.
• Assemble wires and electrical components following layouts.
• Apply electrical skills to troubleshoot control panels.
• Test assembled instruments for circuit continuity and reliability.
• Analyze test results and repair/adjust instruments accordingly.
• Calibrate instruments to specifications.
• Identify faulty equipment by observation and testing.
• Demonstrate persistence with complex problems.
• Assess condition of used parts with micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Apply programming languages to control of PLCs and industrial networks.
• Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
• Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists, and hand tools.

• Tests assembled instruments for circuit continuity and operational reliability.
• Analyzes test results and repairs or adjusts instruments according to analysis.
• Calibrates instruments according to specifications.
• Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing.
• Demonstrate persistence when dealing with complex problems.

Work Environment
