Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, calibrate, and inspect electrical devices and circuits in the plant.
• Receive and interpret wiring diagrams to resolve electrical needs.
• Repair or replace motors, switches, and control panels in plant equipment.
• Plan work on energized circuits and ensure safe operation of production systems.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install fittings, fixtures, and wires.
• Connect all types of electrical equipment for new installations.
• Perform soldering on thermocouple and pyrometer systems as needed.
• Conduct inspections to meet standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain safety protocols and PPE usage, including environmental compliance.
• Respond to emergency repairs and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Plant Engineering, Supervisors, and production staff.

The Electrician is responsible for all electrical work and maintenance throughout the facility. This involves repairs, inspections, and new installations on all machinery.

Compensation and Schedule:

$41.25 hourly rate

Rotating 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, calibrate, and inspect electrical devices, equipment, and circuits in the plant
• Receive and inspect wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications to resolve electrical needs
• Repair or replace faulty motors, switches, control panels circuit breakers, control devices, batching systems, control instrumentation, and other plant electrical and electronic equipment
• Plan and perform work on energized circuits
• Measure, cut, bend, and install fittings, switches, controls fixtures, and wires
• Connect all types of electrical equipment for new installations
• Plan and perform skilled soldering repairs, installation, and calibration of thermocouple and pyrometer-controlled systems
• Conduct system and equipment inspections to ensure they meet operational standards and safety regulations
• Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems
• Communicate and work with Plant Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, Production Supervisors, Scheduler, and production staff
• Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within department responsibilities
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper use of PPE and ensuring the compressor room is compliant with safety and environmental standards.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and minimize downtime in critical operational periods
• All other duties as assigned

Minimum skills / qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Journeyman level Electrician experience
• Experience in industrial control, lighting, and wiring
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds

Preferred skills / qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay rate for this role is $41.25 per hour.
