Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a qualified Electrician for our Bridgeton, NJ facility. The role covers electrical work, maintenance, and new installations across all machinery, with a $41.25 hourly rate on rotating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

You will inspect diagrams, repair motors and control gear, and ensure safe operation of production systems. Applicants should be a Journeyman Electrician with industrial experience, able to stand all day and lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Electrician with industrial experience.
  • Experience in industrial control, lighting and wiring.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 20 pounds.
  • Preferred exposure to PLCs, SCADA and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, calibrate, and inspect electrical devices, equipment, and circuits in the plant.
  • Receive and inspect wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications to resolve electrical needs.
  • Repair or replace faulty motors, switches, control panels, circuit breakers, control devices, batching systems, control instrumentation, and other plant electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Plan and perform work on energized circuits.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and install fittings, switches, controls, fixtures, and wires.
  • Connect all types of electrical equipment for new installations.
  • Plan and perform skilled soldering repairs, installation, and calibration of thermocouple and pyrometer-controlled systems.
  • Conduct system and equipment inspections to ensure they meet operational standards and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper and safe operation of all production machine systems.
  • Communicate and work with Plant Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, Production Supervisors, Scheduler, and production staff.
  • Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within department responsibilities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper use of PPE and ensuring the compressor room is compliant with safety and environmental standards.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests and minimize downtime in critical operational periods.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum skills / qualifications

  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Compensation

The anticipated starting pay rate for this role is $41.25 per hour.
