Job summary

LAPP Ind - USA in Florham Park, NJ seeks a Plant Electrical Systems Technician to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control systems. The role requires hands-on electrical maintenance with 480V three-phase power and VFDs.

You will execute PM programs, read schematics, log activities, and collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production to improve reliability and safety. A Journeyman license and 3–5 years experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with 480V three-phase power, motor controls and PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings; interpret manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment: motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
• Execute PM programs on plant electrical systems to prevent failures.
• Respond rapidly to breakdowns and emergencies to protect throughput.
• Install new machinery and electrical equipment to spec and code.
• Read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Log maintenance, repairs, and modifications clearly.
• Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production to resolve issues.
• Recommend reliability and design improvements.
