Job summary

LAPP, headquartered in Stuttgart, seeks a Manufacturing Electrical Technician for its Florham Park, NJ site. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in a manufacturing setting to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with maintenance, engineers, and production staff. Requires experience with 480V three-phase power, motor controls, PLCs, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power, motor controls, and PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters).
• Understanding of NEC and OSHA safety requirements.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs; VFDS/servo knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems per schedule.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore production.
• Install new electrical equipment and read electrical schematics/blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and local regulations.
• Maintain clean and organized work environment.
• Document maintenance activities and modifications.
