Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for a direct-hire role in Sturbridge, MA. The position focuses on troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, and electrical control systems to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, with strong skills in reading schematics, understanding PLCs, and adhering to LOTO and electrical safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-based automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of LOTO, Arc Flash, and electrical safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, and electrical control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document completed work.
• Support equipment installations, startups, upgrades, and commissioning projects.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain electrical parts inventory and spare components.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and electrical safety standards.
• Assist with continuous improvement efforts to increase equipment performance and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, and electrical control systems


• Perform preventative maintenance and document completed work


• Support equipment installations, startups, upgrades, and commissioning projects
