Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician at our Toledo, OH HBI location.

The role focuses on preventative and corrective electrical maintenance of processing plant equipment and electrical infrastructure, including low voltage and instrumentation work as required. Candidates should have an associate degree or technical training, journeyman status, and 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school completion; journeyman card or 5+ years’ electrical trades maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical, instrumentation, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Experience with medium voltage electrical systems in heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
• Interpret one-lines, wiring diagrams, and drawings to troubleshoot circuits.
• Isolate equipment safely and execute repairs with lockout/tagout procedures.
• Repair, install, wire electrical devices and control panels up to high voltage.
• Maintain tools and work area in clean, safe condition.
