Job summary

BIC Recruiting is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Superintendent to oversee field operations on industrial and commercial electrical projects in Houston, TX. You will supervise crews, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety and compliance with project drawings and NEC codes.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in industrial electrical construction, proven leadership, and the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Industrial/Commercial Electrical Superintendent to oversee field operations on industrial and commercial electrical projects. This position will be responsible for supervising electrical crews, coordinating daily work activities, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely and according to project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise electrical foremen, electricians, apprentices, and field crews.
• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly work activities and manpower.
• Review drawings, specifications, one-lines, schematics, and other project documents.
• Oversee installation of conduit, cable tray, wire and cable, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, panels,
• motors, grounding, lighting, heat trace, and related electrical systems.
• Coordinate electrical work with other trades, project management, customers, and site personnel.
• Track job progress, manpower, productivity, materials, and equipment needs.
• Identify field changes, additional scope, and potential schedule impacts and communicate them to
• project management.
• Ensure work meets NEC requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards.
• Enforce company and site safety requirements.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, punch-list work, and project closeout.
• Attend project and customer meetings as required.
• Maintain good communication with project management, customers, foremen, and field personnel.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical construction experience.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar field leadership
• position.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical construction and the NEC.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and project specifications.
• Experience with industrial power distribution, conduit, cable tray, switchgear, MCCs, transformers,
• motors, and related electrical systems.
• Experience supervising multiple crews and managing manpower.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, weekends, shutdowns, or turnarounds when required
