Job summary

ADM in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking an Electrical Reliability and Maintenance Specialist to lead electrical maintenance strategy across Cogeneration, Wet Mill, and Dry Grind operations. This role pairs with the Electrical Superintendent to standardize maintenance practices and ensure reliable task execution, with responsibility for safety and quality of contractor work.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance with knowledge of low/medium voltage power distribution.
Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related electrical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with PM/PdM tools and CMMS software.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and align PM/PdM programs across Cogeneration, Wet Mill, and Dry Grind areas.
Lead maintenance standards for motors, MCCs, VFDs, switchgear, and substations.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting during major equipment failures and review repair methods.
Oversee third-party electrical contractors, define scopes, and audit performance for safety and quality.
Plan outages, manage spare parts strategy, and draft long-term asset replacement plans.
Lead root cause failure analysis for significant electrical events and drive corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, LOTO, Arc Flash, energized work standards, and OSHA.
