Job summary

Helion is a growing manufacturing operation seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead capital projects that improve production, reliability, and plant performance.

You'll own projects from concept through commissioning while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and outside contractors, designing power distribution and control systems and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience
• Experience within manufacturing, heavy industrial, food & beverage, metals, automotive, chemical, or similar environments
• Strong understanding of industrial power distribution (480V and below)
• Experience with motor controls, MCCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial automation
• Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens preferred)
• Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations
• Excellent communication and project leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical capital improvement projects throughout the facility
• Design and improve industrial power distribution and control systems
• Support installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment
• Develop electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and applicable safety standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, uptime, and efficiency
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and execution from planning through startup
