Job summary

Helion seeks a hands-on Project Manager to drive capital projects in a large-scale manufacturing facility. You will spend time on the plant floor coordinating contractors, aligning operations and engineering teams, and delivering projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities include leading multi-project execution, managing schedules and budgets, reviewing drawings, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience managing multiple capital projects simultaneously.
• Strong contractor and vendor management experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital improvement projects from planning through startup and commissioning.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers during installation and construction activities.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, procurement, and resource planning.
• Work closely with maintenance, production, controls, and operations teams to minimize downtime.
• Review engineering drawings, layouts, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
• Oversee equipment installations, machine upgrades, and process improvements.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure projects comply with safety standards and engineering codes.
• Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and efficiency.
