Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Cockeysville, MD, seeks an experienced industrial electrician/maintenance technician to install, diagnose, repair and test equipment such as PLCs, conveyors and drives. You will read schematics, install power wiring, repair electrical components, and perform preventative maintenance on robots and machinery, with emphasis on safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a trade school, apprenticeship program, or an AA degree in related studies or 3 years documented trade experience.
• Experience with common machinery in a food production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics.
• Must have working knowledge and field experience installing and troubleshooting industrial control wiring.
• Familiarity with NEC electrical installation requirements.
• Experience working safely in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt to shifting business needs.
• Willingness to work overtime daily and on weekends; shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair and test industrial equipment including power service, motor starters, electrical systems, and interfaces.
• Perform preventative maintenance on robots, conveyors, PLCs, transformers, drives, and machinery wiring.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit to machines and equipment.
• Repair electrical systems by diagnosing faulty wiring and malfunctioning components.
• Provide electrical maintenance support and timely responses to requests.
• Prepare electrical maintenance reports and maintain documentation.
