Job summary

Smirecyclers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment in Wichita, Kansas. The role requires reading blueprints, troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs, and quickly addressing equipment failures to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, documenting repairs, supporting security camera systems, and assisting with special projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Journeyman Electrician license.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical layouts.
• Experience with PLCs and PLC-controlled equipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose problems using schematics, meters, and manuals.
• Repair electrical motors, sensors, wiring, and controls.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs; replace defective components as needed.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and complete appropriate repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance; document work and issues; assist camera maintenance and special projects.
