Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, KS seeks a Crane CNC-PLC Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, PLC‑controlled equipment, CNC machinery, and crane-related gear. The role supports production by diagnosing issues and keeping equipment safe and reliable.

The ideal candidate works with blueprints and diagrams, performs software backups, and coordinates with engineering and vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial electrical/electronic maintenance experience, technical training, or a combination of both.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment, motors, controls, or automated machinery.
• Experience working with 480-volt, three-phase electrical systems.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
• Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment such as digital multimeters.
• Willing and able to work any assigned shift, including 2nd or 3rd shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Must successfully complete a job-related skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform the above referenced activity on all types of electrical equipment and machine circuits and systems, including but not limited to raceways, lighting, power transformers, control centers, PLCs, CNCs, cranes, and related systems.
• Perform software backups of all applicable assets.
• Use and update blueprints, schematics, software, and wiring diagrams to determine compliance with wiring specifications and locations.
• Devise and fabricate testing aids and equipment as needed.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications required for duties.
• Assemble and verify data for records and order parts as required.
• Coordinate with Management, Engineering, Contractors, Vendors and other teams to plan, design, and install new equipment and upgrades.
