Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician in Richmond, VA to build industrial machines and control panels for bakery equipment. You will follow detailed specifications, read diagrams, and wire components with NEC compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires hands-on fabrication, conduit work, PLC-related wiring, and safe operation of power tools. You will contribute to projects, meet quality standards, and support upgrades and installation efforts.

Qualifications

• Trade school education with an electrical focus or equivalent technical training.
• Experience in machine building, control panel assembly, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering controls drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical components for control panels and equipment.
• Follow engineering specifications, diagrams, and NEC standards.
• Run and bend aluminum conduit (1/2 to 1.5 in) and route conductors per schematics.
• Operate power tools (grinders, plasma cutters) safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and meet production timelines.
• Report progress and propose improvements to maintain schedules.
