Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to build custom electrical control panels and conveyor systems for industrial equipment. You must read engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams and have hands-on electrical assembly experience.

The role also includes mechanical assembly as needed, with a focus on quality and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of electrical assembly experience.
• Hands-on experience wiring electrical components and/or industrial control panels.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Experience using soldering equipment, hand tools, power tools, drills, screwdrivers, saws, and grinders.
• Familiarity with pneumatic systems and components.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform both electrical and mechanical assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift approximately 20–25 lbs.
• Industrial control panel building experience (preferred).
• Conveyor system or machine-building experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Build and wire industrial electrical control panels.
• Install and wire electrical components according to specifications.
• Route, terminate, and organize wiring within control panels and equipment.
• Complete electrical assembly for conveyor systems and industrial equipment.
• Verify completed work against drawings and build specifications.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies between prints and the physical build.
• Work around controls utilizing Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional panel wiring.
• Transition into mechanical assembly after electrical work.
