Job summary

UPS is seeking a BaSE Mechanic to maintain and repair equipment in a fast-paced package handling facility. The role requires strong electrical experience and the ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24x7 operation, with an electrical assessment required for eligibility.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, repairing conveyors, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation of plant equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical background and ability to pass electrical assessment.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical components.
• Welding of rails, supports, and conveyor structures as required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC/DC electrical equipment (batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo devices, photoelectric sensors, transducers, VFDs, encoders).
• Inspect and repair motors, drive systems, conveyors, bearings, pulleys, and rollers.
• Inspect and repair pneumatic components (diverters, lubricators, hoses, coils) and hydraulic components (hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps).
• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, bulk carts, and other plant equipment.
