Job summary

Acushnet Company seeks an Electrical Mechanical Specialist to maintain and optimize production equipment in golf ball manufacturing. You will troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electromechanical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and work with Engineering to adapt equipment for evolving production needs.

You will plan work efficiently, minimize downtime, and keep accurate maintenance records while following safety practices and communicating with the team.

Qualifications

  • 100% completion of TPC curriculum and 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
  • Approved technical associate degree or certificate in an electrical/electronic discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of industrial electrical experience in a skilled trade; must complete TPC training for identified gaps.
  • Formal training in AC/DC circuits and basic PLC functionality.
  • Experience with instrumentation, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, electrical/hydraulic schematics, and using measuring tools and tolerances.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and machine tools (drills, lathes, millers).
  • Strong troubleshooting, installation and repair skills; safety practices incl. Lockout/Tagout and NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and rebuild electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and calibrate electromechanical devices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to design or adapt equipment for production needs; maintain maintenance records.
  • Test and calibrate instruments to meet performance standards; minimize downtime.
