Job summary

CF Industries Yazoo City Nitrogen Complex is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems across the plant. You will interpret blueprints, read P&IDs, and work to minimize downtime while adhering to NFPA 70E standards.

The role requires 2+ years in chemical/manufacturing environments, a high school diploma, and willingness to work overtime and weekends. You will join a team dedicated to safety, reliability and continuous improvement at CF Industries

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 2 years experience in chemical/manufacturing/construction or related work.
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems with experience in 480 volt to 4160 volt electrical systems.
Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.
Ability to read and understand P&ID's.
Analytical thinking and problem solving skills, effective organizational, time management and communication skills.
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

Installs, alters and repairs electrical systems including installing conduit, pulling wire through conduits, making proper connections, determining and correcting electrical malfunctions in equipment and electrical control devices.
Reads electrical blueprints and schematics.
Determines causes for malfunctions and takes action to correct.
Maintains A/C controls and performs troubleshooting.
Performs pole line work.
Programs variable frequency drive units.
Performs switchgear maintenance.
Works in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment.
