Job summary

CF Industries operates a world-class production facility in Yazoo City, Mississippi. The role monitors production and shipping in areas handling ammonia, ANF, nitric acid/urea, and port operations, ensuring safe, efficient processes and data recording.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 2+ years in chemical or industrial settings, strong math and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Overtime and weekend shifts are required to support plant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation/GED required.
• Academic degrees, certifications and/or licenses are preferred/desirable.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in chemical operations, oil/gas industry, railroad, construction or industrial setting preferred.
• Effective organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Strong math skills, analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office IT environment including use of Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the operation and understand the process/equipment in the assigned area.
• Understand site environmental controls and operate within limits.
• Operate valves/instruments to adjust liquids, flows, temperatures, pressures, speeds, start/stop of equipment.
• Operate specialized equipment in the area (gas metering stations, electronic scales, handheld monitoring).
• Record data on daily sheets for traceability.
• Request work orders to maintain area in good order.
• Safely load trucks and rail cars with outgoing product.
• Unload rail cars for upgrading into plant or chemicals.
• Clean and maintain railcars in the company fleet.
• Demonstrate proficiency in safe operation of switch engine and switchman duties.
• Coordinate shipping/loading with related jobs in plant/port.
