Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment in a Cuyahoga Falls, OH facility. The role involves diagnosing electrical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues across a modern food production line.

You will read schematics, perform PLC troubleshooting, and carry out preventive maintenance while maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate's degree preferred.
Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting production equipment, electrical systems, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and controls.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
PLC troubleshooting experience; PLC programming a plus.
Welding experience is a plus.
Basic computer skills and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Respond to production equipment issues and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
Repair and maintain production machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to support troubleshooting and repairs.
Independently troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, including PLC I/O diagnostics and reading ladder logic to identify faults.
Perform preventive maintenance and keep accurate maintenance records.
Identify recurring problems and help develop lasting fixes.
Request parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
Follow plant safety procedures and food manufacturing quality practices.
