Job summary

The AMES Companies' ClosetMaid Ocala facility is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, maintain and improve electrical systems for manufacturing operations. You will implement PLC programs, robotics integrations and ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

You’ll lead automation projects, work with cross-functional teams, and drive efficiency improvements while maintaining documentation and training for maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on PLC programming with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar.
• Experience with Fanuc robotics preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA standards and LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical systems for plant operations.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and minimize downtime.
• Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs for production equipment.
• Integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, robotics, and control devices.
• Lead electrical, automation, and robotics projects from concept through implementation.
