Job summary

BIC World in Milford, CT is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical technical support to plant control systems and automation teams, researching and implementing new technologies to improve processes and competitiveness. You will design and program industrial control systems for high-speed equipment, troubleshoot electrical systems, support maintenance programs, and ensure NEC/NFPA compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Three (3)+ years of electrical engineering experience with industrial electrical controls.
In-depth programming experience with PLCs, vision systems, robotics, servos, C# programming, and Ethernet networks.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical systems, MCCs, VFDs, and machinery during outages.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with controls technicians to interface electrical systems with PLCs, DCS, instrumentation, vision systems, robotics, servos, and related automation technologies.
Lead or assist with electrical scopes of work, equipment installations, upgrades, acceptance, and commissioning for new plant machinery.
Maintain and update single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel layouts; ensure NEC/NFPA 70 and NFPA 58 compliance.
