Job summary

ANDRITZ Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer to join our Alpharetta, GA office. You will design, develop, and deliver high-quality electrical and control projects to improve productivity, reliability, and sustainability for North American customers.

The role requires a bachelor's in electrical engineering, 5+ years in industrial engineering, and PE licensure. Travel to domestic and international sites is typical (5–20%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or similar).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial engineering.
• Experience in pulp & paper is an asset.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer is a requirement.
• Legally entitled to work in the USA.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (typically 5-20%).

Responsibilities

• Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary electrical/controls designs and estimates.
• Design industrial MV/LV power systems and control rooms, including specifications and layouts.
• Perform protection and control system design and settings.
• Create electrical/Instrumentation designs including P&ID diagrams and systems.
• Design, program and configure DCS and PLC/HMI applications.
• Perform system checkout, testing and commissioning.
• Prepare tender and construction documentation.
