Job summary

GEOTEK is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Utah requirements at our manufacturing facility. You will oversee permitting, safety programs, inspections, incident response, and employee training to promote a safe, compliant workplace.

Collaborate with operations and leadership to drive continuous safety improvements, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship across site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, environmental engineering, occupational health and safety or related field.
• At least three years of applicable experience required.
• First aid, CPR, AED certification a plus but not mandatory.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent training a plus but not mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP or CHMM are a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility safety and environmental inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with air permitting, stormwater permitting programs, and waste management, including documentation, monitoring, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Respond to workplace incidents, environmental releases, and safety concerns; lead investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) program and chemical inventory records.
• Create and conduct employee safety, environmental, and compliance training programs.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits from OSHA, EPA, and state/local agencies.
