Job summary

Amrize seeks a Maintenance Electrician to repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical power and control systems at our cement plant in Alabama. You will work on instrumentation circuits, motor control up to 13.8 kV, drives and analysers, and support preventative maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of technical college preferred, and 2–4 years industrial experience with strict PPE safety adherence; minimal travel; team oriented with opportunities for on‑the‑job training.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • 2 years of technical college preferred.
  • 2-4 years industrial experience required; equivalent education may be considered.
  • Must pass PPE protocol and respirator fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment across the plant, including instrumentation circuits and motor control up to 13.8 kV.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Schematic reading and instrumentation calibration.
  • Use digital and analog PLCs for troubleshooting.
  • Perform low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing, terminating.
  • Support basic mechanical tasks and welding as needed.
  • Conduct walk-by inspections and diagnostics.
  • Maintain documentation and participate in team activities.
  • Collaborate with contractor personnel.
  • Participate in training programs to broaden technical skills.
