Job summary

Modern Mill in McComb, MS is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems in our industrial environment.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, calibrate instruments, read schematics, and work with PLCs and control systems. A strong safety focus and ability to work rotating shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical principles and electronic components knowledge.
• Familiarity with sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical issues.
• Proficiency with tools, equipment, and software for electrical/instrumentation work.
• Understanding safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving problems within electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Repair: Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
• Calibration: Calibrating and testing instruments and equipment.
• Installation: Installing new equipment or upgrading existing systems.
• Working with Schematics and Drawings: Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics to understand systems and identify issues.
• Safety: Adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
