Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Designer to partner with product teams across divisions, delivering innovative product solutions. You will collaborate with engineering to integrate performance needs with user-focused workflows and support rapid prototyping in a fast-paced environment.

You will work across multiple cross-functional teams, using AI tools to accelerate design validation and ensure manufacturability, with a strong emphasis on CMF and production-ready 3D models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional Industrial Designer experience.
• Proficiency in building 3D CAD models.
• Experience with major national/international brands in handheld, wearable, or tablet product development.
• Strong problem-solving and conceptual development ability.
• Excellent conceptualization sketching and ideation skills.
• Excellent sense of form, proportion, and detail development.
• Solid experience in product design and 3D form language.
• Strong communication and ability to operate autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Design leads to visualize the vision, prototype, and validate design intent, guiding development teams.
• Work on all stages of the design development process from customer research to validation and execution.
• Create design concept proposals and presentations for stakeholder alignment.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models ensuring the Design Vision carries through to production.
• Engage with manufacturing partners for production design activities.
• Maintain CMF (Color, Material, Finish) documents.
• Leverage AI-driven generative design and computational tools to explore performance-based solutions.
