Job summary

The Designer II at Brooksource is responsible for supporting the development, preparation, review, and coordination of engineering designs, drawings, and related documentation for industrial and facility projects. This role works closely with engineers and other design professionals to create and maintain design deliverables that comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of design experience in industrial facilities.
• Basic knowledge of industrial facility operations.
• Willingness to learn 3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, review, and coordinate engineering designs, drawings, and documents for systems in accordance with codes.
• Prepare discipline-specific deliverables, including diagrams and layout drawings.
• Review vendor design documentation for compliance with specs.
• Support detailed design activities throughout project execution.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop design solutions.
• Assist with system checkout, commissioning, and startup activities as needed.
• Support the development of project scope documents, schedules, material takeoffs, and design packages.
• Identify and help resolve engineering and design-related issues.
• Communicate with stakeholders to support project objectives.
