Infinity Images, a Portland-based design, print, and fabrication house, seeks a mid-level Industrial Designer to join the engineering team. You’ll turn creative concepts into buildable 3D retail displays and fixtures, coordinating with design, engineering, and production for practical fabrication solutions.

You'll translate renders into SolidWorks, generate shop drawings, and create CNC cut files while collaborating across teams to meet budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial design or design engineering, preferably within the retail display, exhibit, or custom fabrication industries.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including multibody parts, assemblies, sheet metal, and technical drawings.
• Experience creating 2D drawings in Adobe Illustrator and extracting measurements from SketchUp.
• Strong understanding of materials and fabrication methods, including wood, metal, plastics, vinyl, and large-format printing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound technical judgment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and architectural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when taking measurements and documenting site conditions.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during manufacturing or installation.
• Participate in research and development, material selection, and fabrication planning.
• Occasionally attend site surveys and installations as needed.

Infinity Images is looking for a mid-level Industrial Designer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll help turn creative concepts into buildable solutions, with a focus on custom 3D retail displays and fixtures of all sizes.

You'll work closely with our internal teams to develop solutions that are practical to fabricate, meet project budgets, and stay on schedule. From material selection and engineering to shop drawings and production files, you'll play an important role in bringing projects from concept to completion.

We're looking for someone who brings strong technical skills, creative problem-solving, and a collaborative approach to their work.

LOCATION

This position is remote/hybrid. Candidates located in the Portland metro area will be required to work on-site at our NE Portland facility three days per week.

COMPENSATION

This position pays $85-95K, depending on experience.
