Job summary

Quad/Graphics is seeking a graphic/industrial designer to join the In-Store team in the Midwest. You will design 2D/3D signage, displays and retail environments, render concepts, and help create presentation content for major retailers and CPG brands.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Industrial or Graphic Design, a portfolio showcasing layout and signage work, and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and 3D Studio Max. 0–5 years of experience preferred; on-site collaboration encouraged.

Qualifications

• A.S., B.S., or BFA in Industrial Design or Graphic Design.
• Portfolio demonstrating original thinking and graphic design capabilities.
• 0–5 years of experience in a graphic/industrial design position with focus on graphic layout, display design, and retail signage and store environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and render 2D/3D signage, displays, and retail store environment concepts utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and 3d Studio Max software (Arnold Render preferred).
• Have a strong understanding of production graphic artwork.
• Create static renderings and animations of conceptual designs to show design intent, modularity, and function.
• Work closely with Lead Designer and sales to build virtual digital design content for presentation purposes.
• Create retail instruction sheets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of 3D Studio Max (preferred)
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• Communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
• Able to work both independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Fluency in MS Office.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A.S., B.S., or BFA in Industrial Design or Graphic Design
• 0-5 years of experience in a graphic / industrial design position with focus on graphic layout, display design, and retail signage and store environments preferred.
• Portfolio demonstrating original thinking and graphic design capabilities.

Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $60,000-$75,000, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions.
