Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Industrial Design Engineer to lead cross-functional design and deployment of material handling systems in global fulfillment centers. You will own complex programs across engineering, operations, and suppliers, driving strategy, standards, and KPIs with a strong focus on execution.

You will collaborate with WWDE, Operations Engineering, and RME partners, manage budgets and multi-year plans, and travel up to 50% to align leadership and teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk.
• Experience with automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams and communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy for material handling equipment lifecycle.
• Lead cross-functional communications and planning for deployment of new tech products.
• Define program scope and requirements; translate to design and field engineering teams.
• Evaluate solutions balancing business value and technology risk.
• Travel up to 50% to interact with leaders and partners.
• Present program status to Directors of Engineering and Operations.
