Job summary

Amazon's One Material Handling System (OMHS) IDE II position seeks an Industrial Design Engineer II to design major sub-systems for next-generation fulfillment facilities, including ARS Gen14 and SSD programs. You will own FE packages for functional areas from concept through construction-ready documentation.

Collaborate with WWDE, Electrical Engineering, and I&D teams to ensure cross-component integration and develop reusable design templates.

Qualifications

Experience in design/innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work.
Experience in management of engineering design projects.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent.
3+ years of experience in MHE system design, industrial engineering, or systems integration.
Experience designing sub-system level material handling solutions at LOD 200–300 (schematic through precise geometry).
Experience producing equipment specifications and vendor procurement documentation (RFP technical sections).
Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or CREO) and engineering analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Design major sub-systems of Amazon's next-generation material handling facilities—from concept to construction-ready documentation.
Collaborate with WWDE, Electrical Engineering, and I&D teams to ensure cross-component integration and reusable design templates.
Manage design deliverables across multiple projects and mentor junior engineers on OMHS design standards.
