Job summary

Amazon's One Material Handling System (OMHS) team seeks an Industrial Design Engineer II to design major sub-systems of material handling for ARS Gen14 and SSD programs, including advanced storage and sortation concepts.

As an IDE II, you will own FE packages from concept through construction-ready documentation, collaborate with WWDE, Electrical Engineering, and I&D teams, mentor IDE I staff, and develop validation strategies to prove solutions before build.

Qualifications

Experience managing engineering design projects.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent.
3+ years of experience in MHE system design or systems integration.
Experience designing sub-system level material handling solutions (LOD 200–300).
Experience producing equipment specifications and RFP sections.
Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or CREO).

Responsibilities

Design major portions of material handling systems and own FE packages from concept to construction.
Develop standard design templates and reusable patterns across the OMHS portfolio.
Coordinate cross-component integration with WWDE, Electrical, and I&D teams.
Produce equipment specifications and participate in vendor evaluations.
Mentor IDE I engineers and contribute to design standards.
