Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a controls-focused engineer who understands manufacturing automation and has hands-on experience with SCADA systems, historians, SQL databases, and manufacturing data.

You will bridge traditional industrial automation with modern analytics and support data-driven decision making across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate has a strong controls foundation and an interest in expanding advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-enabled manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics engineering.
2+ years in industrial automation or controls.
Experience programming PLC-based control systems.
Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal.
Experience with SCADA systems and manufacturing data platforms.
SQL knowledge.
Industrial networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, optimize, and support PLC, HMI, VFD, and industrial control systems.
Support SCADA, historian, and industrial data systems.
Develop dashboards and reports to improve visibility.
Lead automation-related process improvements.
Manage automation aspects of capital projects from scope to commissioning.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, IT to improve data connectivity.
Establish and maintain automation standards.
Support 24/7 manufacturing operations, including on-call.
