thyssenkrupp Presta Dynamic Components Danville seeks a Data Collections Engineer to strengthen the Process Engineering team. You will develop data collection programs, coordinate system troubleshooting, and drive improvements in information workflow from control level to data collection database to meet end-user needs.

Responsibilities include supporting production data software, maintaining application environments, and coordinating database administration.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of industrial data collection experience.
• German language ability is preferred; strong reading, writing, and presentation skills.
• Strong SQL Server experience; Oracle is a plus; background in VB, C, C++, and Q‑Das is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and oversee production data collection software planning, installation, maintenance, and problem recovery.
• Coordinate and supervise production data application development and provide technical support.
• Oversee database administration: stored procedures, triggers, backups, disaster recovery and security.
• Write code in the specified programming language to bridge applications.
• Create new applications using the specified programming language.
• Troubleshoot and modify existing programs to meet criteria.
• Participate in production systems projects.
• Write reports and data retrieval programs.
• Develop system and user documentation and provide training.
• Implement new functionalities with the Technological Center in Eschen.
• Coordinate data collection activities with other plant sites and global data management group.
• Other duties as assigned.
