Job summary

thyssenkrupp Dynamic Components is seeking a Data Collections Engineer to drive data collection systems and improve information workflows within the Process Engineering team. You will coordinate troubleshooting, develop programs in the specified languages, and provide data from the control level to the collection database tailored to end users.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5 years in industrial data collection involving software, hardware and Windows.
• Language: Read/interpret business docs; reports; German preferred.
• Technology: Strong MS SQL Server experience; Oracle a plus; strong background in Visual Basic, C, C++, and Q-Das Statistical Software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee production data collection software planning, installation, maintenance, and recovery.
• Support and oversee production data application development; maintain environment and provide tech support.
• Oversee database administration: stored procedures, triggers, backups, disaster recovery and security.
• Write code to bridge applications and create new data collection applications.
• Troubleshoot and modify existing programs to meet criteria.
• Participate on production systems projects; write reports and data retrieval programs.
• Develop system and user documentation; provide training.
• Coordinate data collection/data management with other plant sites and world data management group.
