Job summary

American Products is seeking a Custodian to support our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. You will maintain clean, safe production and common areas and assist with larger cleaning projects as needed.

This role offers an evening and overnight schedule with shift differential. Training on the day shift is provided to ensure you learn the processes and safety procedures before transitioning to the production floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
• Janitorial experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Clean plant floors using ride-on and walk-behind scrubbers and sweepers.
• Empty trash throughout the facility.
• Transport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forklift.
• Restock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfaces.
• Clean windows, walls, and high-traffic areas.
• Report facility or safety issues to Maintenance.
• Assist with larger cleaning projects as needed.

Schedule:

• Monday- Thursday: 1:30 PM – 11:30 PM
• **Will Train on Day Shift

Pay: $19-21/hr + $2.00/hr shift differential
