Job summary

American Products is seeking a Custodian to join our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing setting. This evening/overnight role includes a $2.00/hr shift differential and training on the day shift.

Responsibilities include deep cleaning restrooms and breakrooms, floor care with scrubbers, waste transport, restocking, disinfecting surfaces, and reporting safety issues. Candidates should have attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Janitorial experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Clean plant floors using ride-on and walk-behind scrubbers and sweepers.
• Empty trash throughout the facility.
• Transport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forklift.
• Restock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfaces.
• Clean windows, walls, and high-traffic areas.
• Report facility or safety issues to Maintenance.
• Assist with larger cleaning projects as needed.
