Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Engineer/Crane Engineer to support and lead crane projects across aerospace, military, energy, and manufacturing sectors. The role aligns with a hybrid work schedule, requiring collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and occasional travel.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, SolidWorks proficiency, 4+ years in crane/heavy machinery engineering, and strong communication and leadership abilities. PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• SolidWorks proficiency preferred.
• PE license preferred; a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of crane or heavy machinery engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Availability to travel occasionally to site visits and client meetings.
• Effective technical writing and time management skills.
• Positive attitude with focus on team and client success.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and design tasks for crane refurbishment and replacement projects.
• Technical lead and calculation development responsibilities.
• Team coordination and multidisciplinary management.
