ACT COOLING TOWERS INC in the Greater Houston area seeks skilled carpenters to build and repair wooden or fiberglass cooling tower structures. Responsibilities include prefabrication, removal/installation inside towers, and external components.

Qualifications

Construction safety knowledge and best practices.
Ability to lift heavy materials ~50 lbs and carry tools 10–15 lbs.
Experience in construction/carpentry; cooling tower technician and supervision preferred.
Willingness to travel with reliable transportation.
TWIC Card required.
Background check for 5 years prior.
Hair follicle drug screen required.

Responsibilities

Build and repair wooden or fiberglass cooling tower structures.
Prefabrication of materials and removal/installation within the tower structure.
Install framework such as tie-lines, columns, and braces.
Remove/install internal components like fills and drift eliminators.
Install exterior components such as fan decking, hot water basins, and siding.
Use carpentry hand tools and battery-powered tools.
Work within a team environment under the direction of the job supervisor.
