Qualifications

Job description

Cooling Tower Technicians and Carpenters

Responsibilities

• Build and repair wooden or fiberglass cooling tower structures in an industrial environment.
• Work includes but is not limited to prefabrication of materials and the removal/ installation of materials located within the cooling tower structure, and installing framework such as tie-lines, columns, and braces.
• Removal and installation of cooling tower internal components such as fills and drift eliminators, and exterior components such as fan decking, hot water basins, and siding.
• Use of carpentry hand tools such as hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, battery operated tools, drill motors, and pry bars.
• Work within a team environment under the direction of the job supervisor.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of construction safety and best construction work practices.
• Ability to lift heavy materials of approximately 50 lbs., and carry tools of 10-15 lbs.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders and heights using a personal fall arrest system.
• Construction/carpentry experience required, cooling tower technician and construction supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have an excellent work ethic and be able to follow directions.
• Ability and willingness to travel with reliable transportation means.
• TWIC Card required or ability to obtain one.
• Must be able to pass a background check for 5 years prior.
• Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug screen.
