Qualifications

Job description
Cooling Tower Technicians and Carpenters
Responsibilities
Build and repair wooden or fiberglass cooling tower structures in an industrial environment.
Work includes but is not limited to prefabrication of materials and the removal/ installation of materials located within the cooling tower structure, and installing framework such as tie-lines, columns, and braces.
Removal and installation of cooling tower internal components such as fills and drift eliminators, and exterior components such as fan decking, hot water basins, and siding.
Use of carpentry hand tools such as hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, battery operated tools, drill motors, and pry bars.
Work within a team environment under the direction of the job supervisor.
Qualifications
Requires knowledge of construction safety and best construction work practices.
Ability to lift heavy materials of approximately 50 lbs., and carry tools of 10-15 lbs.
Ability to climb up and down ladders and heights using a personal fall arrest system.
Construction/carpentry experience required, cooling tower technician and construction supervisory experience preferred.
Must have an excellent work ethic and be able to follow directions.
Ability and willingness to travel with reliable transportation means.
TWIC Card required or ability to obtain one.
Must be able to pass a background check for 5 years prior.
