Job summary

TEEMA Group seeks a Facilities Controls Technician in Tempe, AZ to perform calibration, testing, and repair of instrumentation including sensors and control valves. The role involves diagnosing PLC-based systems, HMIs, and distributed control networks, with strong documentation of calibration activities and CMMS record-keeping.

You will support SCADA platforms, alarm handling, and startup/commissioning of new instrumentation, coordinating with engineering and vendors during upgrades.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in instrumentation, controls, or automation maintenance in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA platforms, sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control wiring diagrams, and loop sheets.
• Experience with calibration equipment and maintenance of I&C devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine calibration, testing, and verification of instrumentation (pressure, temp, humidity, flow, level).
• Maintain and repair transmitters, actuators, valves, positioners, and analytical instruments.
• Diagnose and repair PLC-based systems, HMIs, VFDs, and distributed control architectures.
• Troubleshoot control loops, interlocks, networks, and automation hardware.
• Assist with startup, commissioning, and testing of new instrumentation and controls.
