Job summary

The Brazos River Authority seeks a Controls Technician to install, repair and modify industrial electrical control systems and to maintain instrumentation, automation, telemetry, and electronic controls across reservoirs and treatment facilities.

You will program PLCs, develop HMI software, create AutoCAD drawings, and ensure safety measures while supporting time-sensitive outages and system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and Good Driving Record.
• Preferred: ISA Certification, Journeyman Electrician License, Water/Wastewater License, and knowledge of NEC and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and modify industrial electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation problems and manage time-critical outages.
• Program PLCs and create/maintain HMI software.
• Create AutoCad drawings for new electrical systems.
• Evaluate work processes for safety measures.
