Job summary

High Liner Foods USA is seeking a Controls Technician / Industrial electrician for our Virginia plant. The role requires expertise in electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, including AC/DC control circuits and PLC troubleshooting.

You will read manuals and schematics, work with VFDs, and follow safety practices in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a passport.

Qualifications

• Electrical, electronic, pneumatic & mechanical knowledge and skills.
• AC/DC control circuits and PLC troubleshooting.
• Ladder logic knowledge and basic programming skills.
• Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Three or more years of related mechanical experience and/or hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical training.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, electronic, pneumatic & mechanical knowledge applied on equipment.
• AC/DC control circuits and VFD related tasks.
• PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic basics.
• Read manuals and schematics to support maintenance actions.
• Standards for safety and proper tool use in a food manufacturing plant.
• To read, interpret prints, and perform repairs with basic algebra/geometry.
• Maintain good communication and planning in daily maintenance work.
