Job summary

American Sugar Refining, Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance technician for its Buffalo, NY area refinery. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing PLCs, drives, motors, and control systems within a large manufacturing environment.

You will modify equipment to meet specs, plan preventive maintenance, and document changes while working with Supervisors and Engineers. Prior industrial experience and familiarity with SAP are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of related maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, and repair PLCs, motors, and control devices.
• Modify equipment to meet specifications and correct deviations.
• Plan and record periodic testing; initiate modification or replacement.
• Create and close maintenance work orders in SAP.
• Diagnose robot controllers and perform basic programming.
• Document changes and communicate with Supervisors/Engineers.
