Job summary

General Mills' Hannibal manufacturing site is hiring an Industrial Controls Technician to support, troubleshoot, and improve processing/packaging control systems such as Wonderware and ArchestrA, plus PLCs.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in controls programming or industrial controls tech, with experience in PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and safety. The shift options include 2nd and 3rd shifts with overtime; benefits include vacation, holidays, 401(k), and healthcare.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Controls Programming and Industrial Controls Technology or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, process instrumentation, machine control systems, VFDs, servo drives, robotics, power distribution (<600V).

Responsibilities

  • Support, create, integration, troubleshooting and improving control systems including Wonderware/ArchestrA and PLCs.
  • Read and update electrical schematics, PIDs and P&ID diagrams.
  • Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting and controls modifications.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
